A Live Wedding Painters Branding Shoot with My Friend, Photographer Aubrey Elizabeth
Every now and then, you get to pause and reflect on just how far your creative path has taken you. For me, this branding shoot with my dear friend Aubrey Elizabeth was exactly that kind of moment.
Aubrey and I met years ago on the Big Island of Hawai’i, where I was running my natural soap and body care line and she was photographing all the little handmade goods. What started as a simple product shoot turned into a lifelong friendship rooted in creativity and mutual encouragement.
Back then, I never imagined I'd one day be building a career as a live wedding painter in North Carolina, capturing love stories in real time with a paintbrush. And yet here we are, still creating together.
Reconnecting Through Creativity
This branding shoot was about so much more than headshots. It was a way to document the heart of my wedding painting business, a reflection of everything I pour into my work: joy, connection, story, and color.
We shot in my studio and then in the golden light, surrounded by nature (of course), and talked about everything from business goals to our dreams of returning to Hawai’i often. Aubrey has such a gift for capturing people as they are and helping them feel comfortable, and seeing her behind the lens felt like coming full circle.
Painting Love, Live
For those new here, I’m a live wedding artist based in Wilmington, NC (but very open to travel!). I paint wedding scenes and guest portraits on-site during celebrations, as well as custom studio pieces based on your favorite moments.
There’s something incredibly special about preserving a wedding through art, especially when guests get to watch it unfold, brushstroke by brushstroke. Whether it’s the first kiss, the dance floor energy, or a quiet emotional moment, my goal is always the same: to capture how the day felt. To capture your story with creative imagery.

I believe that art should feel like a memory; alive, personal, and full of light. My love for nature, color, and storytelling influences everything I do, from painting weddings in the mountains to working from my cozy home studio with my biggest fans: my husband Elliott, our rescue pup Stevie, and our ever-sassy cat Larrie. Having a brand that reflects not just my style, but the heart behind it, means everything to me and I’m so grateful Aubrey helped bring that to life.
