You can find me…

ever pausing to notice the tiny fungus between the tree roots, caught in a dream over the sparkles of light dancing around me from the sun shining on tiny flies, and feeling utterly enchanted by the flora and fauna that offers an entrance into the natural world.

I can still remember being a tiny human surrounded by impossibly tall trees abundant with squirrels and blue jays. I pranced around my parents front yard with antlers on, wishing so badly to be a deer, the animal whose beauty had captured my attention that month. As I grew older, the animals and plants around me and those that I learned about continued to amaze me. As a college student who had drifted and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life I chose to write a research paper on bats. Little did I know how actually incredible those adorable little misunderstood creatures were. That research paper led to me being that person at the party, trying to educate everyone on how incredible bats are. It helped me realize that all I wanted to do with my life was to protect the lives of the wild species that had always been magical in my eyes. I changed my major (for probably the 12th time that year, no joke) and studied Fishery and Wildlife Conservation. This led to internships as a park ranger and educator at parks and wildlife rehab centers. It led to working on a boat in Hawai’i where I spent my time obsessing over marine life. It led me right to here, where I spend my days in love and infatuated with biodiversity and where I am grateful to combine my creativity with my knowledge and love for nature.

My Mission

Spreading wonder of all species'; the quaint, the intricate, the enchanting. Appreciation to inspiration to education.

My Vision

My ideal world includes a more holistic connection to the natural world all around us. I hope to help people slow down and take the time to notice the small details and the magic that nature provides right before our eyes. Whether it is noticing a tiny flower growing out of a crack in the cement or mosses taking over a wall, I just want to help bring to light how amazing nature is, right in front of us, and help bridge the gap that modern society has created. The small details are all around us and can be accessed anywhere. Inspiring people to become more connected and educating them along the way will hopefully lead to a more cohesive planet. Science is best shared through story-telling, both verbal and visual.
